How to Spring Clean Your Energy

EVERYTHING is made up of energy. You, your desk, your food, your home, your emotions, your soul.

Have you ever walked into a room where the energy just felt off? Or, are you doing all the “right things”, but just feel like you are not attracting desired results?

If you are trying to attract more aligned energy, it is important to make sure you have a solid energy maintenance routine. If we are not conscious of our energy, it can become stagnant, wreaking havoc on our bodies and lives. 

 

Even though our energy cannot be seen by most people, we can have an impact on our physical energy, relational energy, emotional energy and spiritual energy by the boundaries we hold and our conscious efforts to be aware of our surroundings and heal ourselves. 

 

Stagnant energy from unexpressed emotion, becomes energy blocks and eventually turns into imbalances and disease. How regulated your nervous system is, can be a great indicator of how energy is flowing within you. 

 

Are you always fleeing from your problems? Do you have racing thoughts? Do you feel stuck in the energy of sadness or anger? Do you feel disconnected from your body and struggle to feel at all? These are all indicators that your nervous system is dysregulated and it is time to spring clean your energetic body. (And you will benefit from doing this regularly throughout the year ;)

 

Since I help others build autonomy in healing their own energy through breathwork, and building self awareness, my own energy maintenance routine is my biggest currency. I ensure I have released, cleansed, and protected my energy before and after all of my sessions. Afterall, I need to ensure my energy does not leak into my clients AND I do not absorb the energy my clients are releasing through our sessions. This is how I maintain healthy boundaries. 

 

If you are working with other people in any capacity virtually or in person, your energy is YOUR BIGGEST CURRENCY too. Whether you are a waitress, actor, singer, public speaker, caregiver, healthcare worker, teacher, coach, student, work closely in an office setting with others, or a mental health provider, and the list goes on, it is so important to consider your energetic frequency before and after you hold space for others.

 

Some additional points to consider and possibly journal about your energy:

 

The energy you put out is the energy you attract. If you are seeking more positivity and flow in your life, try adopting more energy releasing routines. What type of energy are you feeding in your life? Is it time to liberate yourself by detaching from what is no longer serving you. 

 

Are you allowing yourself to feel and express a range of emotions regularly? 

Do you consciously cleanse and protect your energy?

Are you aware of the energy of others and are selective of who you are allowing into your energetic space or protecting your energy prior?

Are you conscious of the energy throughout the physical spaces around you?

Are you living purposefully and feeling optimistic in life? 

Do you allow yourself time to process and recover from stressful life experiences?

 

Energy Maintenance Routines to incorporate for more flow in your life:

 

✨ Breathwork 

✨ Meditation

✨ Smudging your space with sage or palo santo

✨ Crystal Soaks

✨ Epson Salt Baths/ Cold Plunges

✨ Essential Oils (Use different oils for different intentions)

✨ Take a walk outside/exercise (In different kinds of weather. Wind and rain can be very cleansing if you can handle it. )

✨ Chanting

✨ Yoga/Tai Chi

✨ Intentionally taking time to do the things that bring you joy. 

✨ Surround yourself with safe, trustworthy people. 

✨ Eat clean, healthy food

✨ Journaling

✨ Sound Healing

✨ Clean, uncluttered physical spaces

✨ Grounding 

✨ Spend time in nature

✨ Having clear, communicated boundaries

✨ Feng Shui

✨ Energetic Healing Sessions with a professional healer (Like myself!)

 

Energy Blockers:

 

🚫 Cluttery/unclean spaces

🚫 Junk Food

🚫 Stressful Lifestyle that prevents rest and rejuvenation

🚫 Stagnation (sitting too long, not being physically active or shallow breathing)

🚫 Alcohol 

🚫 Gossiping/Complaining

🚫 Withholding or bypassing emotions

🚫 Poor Boundaries

🚫 Searching outside of yourself for validation

🚫 Heavy Metal or Environmental Toxin exposure 

🚫 Spending too much time away from nature
